None of us is born thinking we are ordinary. Feeling special is an essential part of the human
birthright. If you don’t think you are special, you won’t seek
to contribute your gift to the world. -Rabbi Shmuley Boteach
To keep the fire burning brightly there's one
easy rule: Keep the two logs together, near enough to keep each other warm and
far enough apart — about a finger's breadth — for breathing room. Good fire,
good marriage, same rule. ~Marnie Reed Crowell

In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the
Christians called it "Christmas" and went to church; the Jews called

or "Happy Hanukka!" or (to the atheists) "Look out for the wall!"

Good morning my fair friends and followers,
Today is the first of November ... I know many people
dislike the coming of autumn but I love it. I always have. I love the different
shades of gold, copper, brown and yellow in the trees. Everything seems to hold
a warmth that is lacking in the pastels of Spring and the brightness of Summer.
I don't know how else to explain it but this time of year
sings to me and I feel myself relaxing into it.
